BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025
Vitality finally close one. ZywOo MVP, ropz the second engine. BLAST's first Major and the production was — to nobody's surprise — louder than necessary.
The Dude's Take
BLAST gets the keys
BLAST’s production-first instinct met the Major rulebook and — give them credit — they didn’t break the format. 32-team Stage 1 fed the standard 16-team Swiss, then single-elim playoffs. Vitality opened +350 outright and ground out a clean run.
The ZywOo MVP trap
ZywOo MVP closed at -110 by the semis. Anyone who bought him at the open at +400 cashed; anyone who chased the closing line ate variance for no reward. The structural play was ropz top-fragger props on Inferno — ropz outscored ZywOo on three Vitality maps in the bracket and the props never adjusted.
BLAST production note: live odds latency was visibly worse than PGL/Perfect World — books pulled lines mid-round more often. If you live-bet this one, you noticed.
Roster signal
- ▹Vitality — the ZywOo + ropz core is the new gold standard.
- ▹MOUZ — finalist, torzsi confirmed Tier-1; xertioN priced up.
- ▹NaVi — quietly missed playoffs. The Aleksib reshuffle started here.
BLAST proved they can run a Major. Vitality proved they can win one. The structural read — AWP-led + ropz utility = the new template — has held into every event since. If you faded Vitality outright at +350 you owe yourself a re-watch.
- Production was excellent — best broadcast of any CS2 Major
- 32-team Stage 1 added genuine prop-betting depth (regional dark horses)
- Vitality outright at +350 was the cleanest sharp ticket of the year
- Live odds latency higher than PGL — punished real-time bettors
- Stage 1 BO1 chaos cost a couple of legitimate Tier-1 attendees
